Setting sound


This section describes how to configure the sound on the remote PC side.

Wiring for a remote PC:

Connect a PC microphone and a PC speaker cable to a PC by referring to Remote in "Wiring" section.


Checking and adjusting the reception volume:

Click "Start" > "Setting" > "Control Panel" > "Sound and multimedia" and click the audio tab. Click "Volume" in the "Sound Playback" frame, so that the "Play(Volume) control" window appears.

  • Confirm that "Mute" function is not checked in the WAVE and volume control checkboxes and set the sliding bar at around 50 %.
  • Confirm that "Mute" function is not checked in microphone checkbox and the volume level is set to any appropriate level larger than the 0% level.
  • Set the PC speaker's volume as desired by outputting sound from a PC.

Checking and adjusting the transmission volume:

Click "Start" > "Setting" > "Control Panel" > "Sound and multimedia" and clikc the audio tab. Click "Volume" in the "Sound Recording" frame, so that the "Record control" window appears. Confirm that "Select" checkbox of microphone is checked.
  • Confirm that the volume of the microphone is set to the level larger than the 0% level.
  • Speak into a microphone and monitor the entered voice to be emitted from the PC speaker. If the volume is too loud or too small, the user must adjust the volume.
  • Enable Mute function by checking the "Mute" checkbox of the microphone in Volume control window if the user does not want to monitor the voice spoken into a microphone after adjusting the volume.
